Business is (always!) business! La Californie prévoit de construire une ligne de train à grande vitesse qui reliera Los Angeles au sud à Fresno au nord, puis à terme, San Francisco et Sacramento. Ce projet devisé à 45 milliards de dollars excite la convoitise de plusieurs pays, l’Allemagne, le Japon, mais aussi la France. Le hic: la Californie a voté cette année une résolution obligeant toutes les compagnies participantes à révéler si elles ont pris part au transport des Juifs pour la déportation durant la Seconde Guerre mondiale.

La SNCF, qui a toujours affirmé avoir été réquisitionnée par les Allemands, a choisi de présenter des excuses publiques… mais uniquement sur la partie anglophone de son site internet, relève le Los Angeles Times. La SNCF compte aussi sur un autre contrat de 2,6 milliards de dollars pour une ligne à grande vitesse reliant Tampa à Orlando, en Floride, région où les survivants de l’Holocauste sont nombreux.

Dans le même journal, deux pages plus loin, on découvre un article intitulé « Comment les Nazis sont-ils entrés aux USA? ». Un groupe privé, le National Security Archive, a publié sur son site internet un rapport qui confirme que des agences officielles des Etats-Unis ont facilité l’accès au continent à des centaines d’anciens Nazis, principalement des scientifiques. Parmi eux, Arthur Rudolph, le directeur d’une usine fabriquant des fusées V2 grâce à des esclaves juifs. Il a été honoré comme étant le père de la fusée Saturne V, qui a permis aux Américains d’être les premiers sur la lune….

Business is (always!) business! California is about to build a high-speed rail track which will link Los Angeles in the south to Fresno in the north, and in the future, San Francisco and Sacramento. This project with a budget of 45 billion dollars arouses keen interest in several countries like Germany, Japan, but also France. There’s a snag: California voted this year a resolution which makes all participating companies come clean about the part they played in the Jewish deportation during World War II.

The SNCF has always said that it was forced to obey by the Germans. But it chose to express public excuses…. only on the English part of its internet site, as read on the Los Angeles Times. The SNCF also hopes to be part of a 2,6 billion dollar contract for a fast-rail track between Tampa and Orlando, in Florida, a region where there are numerous Holocaust survivors.

In the same newspaper, two pages further, you can read an article with the title: How Nazis got into the US. The National Security Archive, a private group, published on its website a report which confirms that official US agencies facilited access to the continent to hundreds of Nazis who were scientists. Among them, Arthur Rudolph who was the director of a V2 rocket manufacture that used Jewish slave labor. He was honored in the US as being the father of the Saturn V rocket that allowed Americans to set foot on the moon….
